A class XII student of a school in RK Puram allegedly committed suicide at his Malviya Nagar residence on Saturday. The student reportedly took the extreme step as he had not scored enough to apply for a course in Singapore. Police said that before hanging himself, he wrote a poem which spoke of his failure to achieve what he wanted. The son of a hotelier, the student had reportedly gone into depression ever since he checked his results online.
“His family told us that he was good in his studies and had applied for a course in Singapore. In the poem, he described his life’s journey. He said he was being forced to end his life as he could not achieve his goal,” said a senior police officer.
In the suicide note, he also said that nobody should be blamed for his death.
