New Delhi: The BJP on Thursday hit out at Team Anna member and RTI Activist Arvind Kejriwal and questioned the group’s leanings. Earlier on Thursday Kejriwal had challenged the BJP to take a stand on the Lokpal issue.
BJP Spokesperson Prakash Javdekar said the civil society representatives’ intentions are not clear. If they question us, then they will be questioned too,” said Javdekar.
Sources said the BJP favours the inclusion of the Prime Minister under the ambit of Lokpal Bill but it is divided on whether the anti-corruption wing of CBI should merge with Lokpal.
Javedkar also added, “It is unfortunate that BJP is being questioned as BJP was the first one to raise issues on corruption.”
