1.Area 51: Government Secrets

Area 51 is supposed to be holding a secret military base in U.S. The place cannot be found on the United States Geological Survey Map and the airport is not listed on aeronautical maps. The place hidden from public eyes by the mountain ranges of Emigrant Valley and the Nevada Test Site is protected by miles of restricted airspace.
Area 51 is known by mysterious names such as Dreamland, Paradise Ranch, Home Base, Watertown Strip, Groom Lake and Homey Airport. The UFO subculture members believe the base houses salient technology, living alien specimens and crashed alien spacecrafts in warehouses beneath, connected by underground tunnels. The suspense grew when Nevada state name a 98 km barren stretch on route 375 running close to Area 51 as ‘The Extraterrestrial Highway’. The Air force officials are also always warned not to intrude into a particular region (supposed to come around Area 51) called R-4840, which would incur Article 15, an administrative reprimand, demotion and a loss of pay.
Why exactly is the Government up to now in Area 51? Despite repeated denials of a secret military base, many observers have seen people shuttled out at a private defense terminal at Las Vegas McCarran Airport. For now the place remains a mystery.
2.Submerged Relics at Yonaguni-Jima

The diver Kihachiro Aratake came across a mysterious structure while diving off the coast of Yonaguni-Jima Island, 67 miles from Taiwan. He swam closer to further investigate what appeared to be a huge stone structure on ocean floor. The structure was 240 long and 90 feet wide, with patterns of monolithic blocks, black and gaunt. He took photographs of the structure and returned to the shore.
The news spread far and wide with every major newspapers of Japan covering Aratake’s discovery. Many marine archeologists soon visited the site. Controversy grew over the origin of the structure? Was it man made or naturally built?
The discovery soon led divers like Professor Masakki Kimura to extensively explore the area. He found a 5000 years old underwater city. Ruins of an ancient castle, a triumphal arch, five temples, a large stadium, connected roads and water channels, surrounded by huge retaining walls made up this marine city.
3.The Islet City of Nan Madol

Nan Madol city on the island of Pohnpei is one of the greatest archeological wonders of the world. It is the only ancient city built on a coral reef a
nd is an engineering phenomenon. Nan Madol is comprised of 92 artificial isles interconnected by canals. These islet structural blocks were built with basalt rocks and naturally breakable volcanic rocks. They were stacked horizontally to form walls measuring 50 feet high and 17 feet thick. The average weight of each stone is 5 tons, with some weighing more than 25 tons. The stones and columns are so heavy that conventional and mainstream scholars are yet to understand how it was built, who built them, and the origin of the building blocks.
4.The Vanishing Honey Bees

Honey bees are fast becoming extinct at the rate of 30 to 90 percent, say beekeepers. The last 4 years have seen 20 to 30 pe
rcent honey bee colonies disappearing in U.S. Europe also witnessed a similar occurrence as 30 percent of the honey bee population in U.K. died. Italy had a worse bee mortality rate of 50 percent. The bee population across the world has been similarly decreasing and this is being termed a unique epidemic called Colony Collapse Disorder(CCD). Many biologists are still trying to find out as to why this is happening.
5.New Species of Moths, Corals, and Sponges

Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument in tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean has seen some bizarre discoveries. In December 2009, R
esearchers from the University of Hawai discovered eight new moth species in the genus Hyposmocoma here. The species are unique and found nowhere in the world. These newly discovered species are believed to be descendants of species that colonized the Hawaiian archipelago more than 5 million years ago. The early part of December also saw deep sea submersibles uncover new and dramatic sponges and corals during deep sea dives near Nihoa Island at the monument’s eastern boundary. Dive site researchers termed the sponges as “absolutely bizarre”.
6.The Mystery of Dropa Graves

In 1938, a team of archaeologists discovered some strange historic mysteries in the graves of a supposedly humanoid rac
e. The discovery of Dropa Caves was made at the Baian Kara Ula Mountains of Himalayas in China, close to Tibet. There were several rows of graves in the cave, all containing the remains of humans or humanoids that averaged about four feet in height. Their arms and legs were reportedly very long in relation to their bodies. They also had large heads. The archaeologists first assumed that they had found an ape graveyard, but apes are not known to bury their dead.
7.The London Hammer

In June 1936, Max Hahn and his wife Emma discovered a unique artifact. They found an unusual piece of wood protruding from a rock concretion. When their son brok
e the rock in 1947, it uncovered an iron hammer with a wooden handle. The Hammer was six inches (15.24cm) long with one inch diameter. The hammer was an amalgam of iron (96.6 percent), chlorine (2.6 percent) and sulphur (0.74 percent). This hammer has not rusted since its discovery over sixty years ago. This is certainly a unique blend of metallurgy which some claim be a lost technology of our ancestors.
