New Delhi: Screenshots of a fake website with a map showing Jammu and Kashmir as part of Pakistan is doing rounds on social networking sites, including Facebook.
Interestingly, the website has been registered in the name of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi.
The homepage of website, www.rahulgandhi.co.in, has a map that shows Kashmir as part of Pakistan.
According to Congress sources, neither Gandhi nor the party has anything to do with it. However, Raj Bahadur, who got the site registered in 2006, claimed to be a member of the Delhi Congress.
Bahadur, a resident of Tilak Nagar, said: “I got the website registered in 2006… The last time I updated the site was January 25, 2011.”
Talking to dailybhaskar, he denied having any clue about the map.
He, however, assured to look into the matter and get the map removed at the earliest.
The Congress has said it is a conspiracy to malign Amethi MP’s image.
