The district administration has ordered a probe into an alleged fake Delhi Public School (DPS) near Ramgarh after it received a formal complaint from Delhi DPS secretary R Taneja on Wednesday.
Deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal said on Thursday that a probe panel comprising district education officer Bharelian Tirkey and circle officer Sudhir Kumar will look into the issue. School chairman B N Shah has failed to produce the required documents before the inquiry panel to prove his innocence.
However, Kaushal said the documents related to affiliation and ownership are under verification at present. “DPS Delhi has to come forward to register an FIR against the organization,” the DC said.
Attempts to contact Shah, who also runs Radha Gobind Senior Secondary School and Radha Gobind BEd College in Ramgarh, proved futile. Guardians, who have enrolled their children with the Ramgarh DPS, are concerned over this recent development. “During admission, I was told that the school was affiliated to DPS Delhi,” said a guardian.
