New Delhi Commuters on the Airport Metro Express Line will now have the option of taking a shared cab service between Rajiv Chowk and Shivaji Stadium Metro stations. The service is expected to provide smooth interchange between the two stations. Commuters in the Dwarka and Gurgaon corridors of Delhi Metro network will be able to switch to the high-speed Airport Line using this service.

Reliance Metro has tied up with Iris cabs to provide this service. Apart from Rajiv Chowk, commuters can also travel to inner circle of Connaught Place, Barakhamba Road and Pragati Maidan at an economically priced fare starting from Rs 10.

The Reliance Infrastructure spokesperson said, “Everyday, people travelling from Noida, Anand Vihar, Jahangirpuri to Airport and Dwarka face great discomfort and waste lot of time interchanging between Rajiv Chowk and Shivaji stadium stations. Understanding their need, we started radio-connected shared cab services between these two stations at an economical rate.”

Officials said commuters can also book these taxis on mobile while travelling, so that by the time they reach the station, the taxis will be waiting for them.
