In order to connect himself with the young voters Gujrat chief minister Narender Modi would soon speak with select individuals and groups on Google+ Hangout. Chief minister Narendra Modi Modi will become the first Indian politician to debut on Google+ Hangout.

It is an application that facilitates group video chat with up to a maximum of 10 persons.Modi will follow into the footsteps of US president Barack Obama and Australian PM Julia Gillard, who are the other notable politicians to have interacted live with people on Google+.

If one wishes to interact with Modi, he needs to follow him on Google+. One will have to post a question, either a video or a text question, on the site. The questions will be short-listed and the selected questioners will be invited to join Modi on Google+ Hangout. The questions can be submitted till August 13, while the Google+ Hangout with Modi is scheduled for August 24.

The topic of the Hangout session is ‘Strong and Glorious India long cherished by Swami Vivekananda’. The initiative has been organised by Vivekananda Cell of sports, youth & cultural activities department of the state government. The interaction with the chief minister will also be broadcast live on Youtube. This means that even if one is not a part of the Hangout session, he or she can still watch the CM live interacting with other citizens.

Modi is quite famous among young people of India. The idea of using Google+ for connecting with the people is certainly unique and hopefully would bring positive outcome.
